Owner-operated, hands-on, and committed to quality
I’m Peter Culff, the owner of Precision Build and Joinery. I’ve built my work around honest, practical craftsmanship and a strong focus on doing things properly from the start. With experience across joinery, roofing, general building and home improvements, I take pride in creating spaces that are functional, well-finished and built to last.
Early career
I learned the trade from the ground up, starting as a labourer alongside a master builder with 40 years of experience. Recognising my drive, he sponsored my carpentry apprenticeship, where I discovered a genuine passion for woodworking.
That strong foundation led to high-precision projects early in my career—from crafting bespoke church windows and doors to framing a third-story stair tower extension for a structural engineer. Today, whether handling fine joinery, roof repairs, exterior upgrades, or structural changes, I bring that same standard to every job: thorough preparation, clear communication, and craftsmanship built to last.
Broader experience
My career grew through managing complex, high-demand projects. As a site manager for Formatt Garden Rooms, I oversaw custom builds from start to finish. Working on council contracts alongside veteran tradespeople gave me invaluable practical insights and time-tested tricks learned from lifelong experts.
Later, with a commercial facilities management company, I carried out work in high-security and fast-paced environments—including hospitals, data centres, train stations, Costa Coffee locations, and Virgin Media facilities. This diverse experience instilled a deep respect for strict safety standards, precision, clean job sites, and clear communication under pressure.
Now
Having recently launched my own business, I’m proud to bring my total industry experience together to serve our local community. Living and working in an area I love makes every project personal, and I’m dedicated to providing the highest possible standard of work right here at home.
As an owner-operator, I am directly involved on-site for every job. Clients hire me because they want someone who truly cares about both the quality of the finish and the process along the way—bringing high-end craftsmanship, commercial reliability, and personal pride to every single build.
